paint does not last

My 7 month old daughter loves the toy very much. But the paint does not last after a couple of weeks of usage

Attentiion getter with good sounds for Babies but BAD paint

The Tambourine is a good attention getter from my 5 month twins. The sounds which makes is very resonant and different variations of sounds at the edge compared to center which is good . After more than a month of use, I am reviewing this . I have given 3 stars due to the paint they have used. Its NOT durable. It has cracked colors with in few weeks. Also I saw my kids who were handling this were able to scratch off the tamborine color with their nails. Now I have stopped giving them to play. Disappointed with low quality of paint which came down within few weeks. I bought this a part of a set of other instruments which seem to be fine at another site and hence will not be able to return just this item.
