innacurate but fun

My 5 year old enjoyed working on her hot dots package, but the pen is often inaccurate- meaning she has to put it exactly on the dot otherwise, it does not provide an accurate reply. It is hard to expect five year olds to often be that accurate, and this means I have to sit with her when she is using the pen to make sure that the answers given by it are correct. That said, any independent learning potential is out of the window. Nevertheless the pen is fun, and she gets a kick hearing it praise her correct answers.

Fun educational toy

This is the second Hot Dots pen I have purchased (one for each of my girls)! I also have the Hot Dots Jr pen "Spike" (it works great as well)! The designs are nice and sturdy! My children like using them. We have not had any problems with any of them not working right. You do have to hold the pen straight up or it will give you a "try again" but my daughters have figured out how to use it properly and enjoy using it! I would recommend any of the Hot dots educational toys.

It works great and doesn't use too many batteries. Will surely purchase again as we love hot dots cards for our homeschool.
