Like burning money

The drums are not structurally sound, even with light use. The drum barrels are made out of a cheap, very thin, particle board-like substance that fails to hold the weight of the drums themselves. This causes a structural failure, particularly where the snare and tom-toms hook into the bass drum. The manufacturers say that this is because people are picking the entire drum set up instead of dismantling it and moving the individual components, but that was not the case for me. The product failed within a few days of normal use and was never moved.
Luckily, the 4-yr old who this was purchased for doesn't really care. She asked for drums, Santa brought em, and she just beats on them as if the snare and tomtoms weren't hanging at angles.
This kit is a waste of money.

I bought this through a local place at a great price. We have instruction but there is no picture on how to put it together.
I didn't think it was a box full of parts. I am a 42 year old woman and didn't have any trouble figuring out how to put it together. Come on men! ;)
We had one part missing to the stool and thought I could figure something out from our garage tools. Anyway, we bought this for my 4 year old daughter. My 2 year old, 23 pound son, leaned over on the drum attached to the middle of the kick drum and it popped apart. I was shocked. It broke on the kick drum. The piece looks like cheap plastic that attached it.
So after reading reviews I am going to order the DeRosa by Bridgecraft and see if that one is better. Let's hope so!

great thrift store buy

Found this for $12 at a goodwill store. Bought a pair of sticks and our 5 year old loves it. The previous owners must have given it heavy use as there are some dents on the symbol and lots of marks on the drum tops however they are intact and in good shape. If our little one developes an interest for music this set should help get him started.
