This does NOT teach main idea

I am so disappointed in this product! I love the set up of the game: the board itself is cute and can lead to great discussions on geography. The format of the cards is great. You can read the short paragraph on each card very quickly and they give you multiple choice answers....HOWEVER over half of the cards do NOT illustrate main idea.
For example:
Bicycles are very popular today. They come in a number of styles and an exciting range of colors. In some parts of the world, more people use bicycles than cars. Bicycles need good care just the way cars do. A bicycle properly cared for will last many years.
A. Bicycles are the best form of transportation.
B. Bicycles are a popular form of transportation.
C. Bicycle riders must be careful.
Are you kidding me? Answer B may be a true statement, but it is too narrow to be considered a main idea. The paragraph itself wanders. This is just one example. Out of the 56 cards I read so far, 22 of them were poorly written and did not illustrate main idea.

Great reading comprehension game

This is an excellent game to support reading comprehension in 3rd to 5th graders. The students get to practice reading aloud, taking turns, getting the main idea of a paragraph, and there is a little bit of geography since they are traveling around the world.
