Good QUIET Fun!

I purchased this for my daughter (then 2 years old) before a trip to visit family. It has since successfully entertained her through 14 flights and numerous other "sit still" times. The durable pieces are just the right size and nothing makes any noise! We have lost a few things, but you can order missing pieces from the manufacturer if you are so inclined. I keep this toy out of sight and reach so that it is a special treat to my daughter when taken down. This is a great compact and portable toy for hours of quiet entertainment.

Why all the great reviews?

Having never seen this set in person, I bought this product for my daughter based on the picture and the rave reviews it had received. There is nothing in this package that you can use while traveling except the lacing cards. Some of the pieces are so small it's almost a guarantee that half of them would never make it out of the car. I suppose the box itself makes it easier to bring it with you while traveling but it is a very cheap box and will probably fall apart by the end of our first trip. The other problem we have is with the pieces that "lock together". They are made of the same thin foam as the puzzles and it is impossible to make a "structure" because they are so flimsy. This activity set is more appropriate for putting the pieces on the kitchen table and letting your child play with it there. Overall, if I had found this for [price] I probably would be okay with it, but it is not worth [price].

I bought this for my son when he turned three. He loved it and still plays with it a year later. It was also a good travel toy to take on vacation -- I sent a couple of these to my son's cousins as well.
