Great for someone else's kids

As a chemical engineer and a parent, it is extremely important to me to balance product safety and responsible manufacturing. Furthermore, I want to invest in toys that will survive not only my daughter, but any other children or grandchildren that I may be blessed with. Few toys are more durable than wooden ones; fewer still foster an imagination. "Plan Toys" meet stringent US and international safety guidelines and are made from rubber trees that no longer yield latex. There is no deforestation involved, the manufacturing sites use green energy, and the company is socially responsible.
I bought this for my one-year-old, but it took her about a month to get the coordination down pat. At first it was a bit heavy for her, and her attempts to play with it usually consisted of either swinging it wildly by one handle or by using both handles to bang it on the floor. But now at fifteen months, she has optimized its percussive abilities to the point that it will soon be accidentally left at grandma's >:-D

Santa brought it for my son's 1st Christmas. Instant hit! We've all been playing with it. Unique, colorful, well made toy.

10 month old boys not interested in it at this point

This is a nice toy and very well made. We will keep it around but so far my 10 month old boys have not shown an interest. Maybe they will enjoy it when they get a little older.
