Cute and does the job

Unfortunately it is not in tune at the upper end of the register and while it doesn't really matter for a young kid, it is a bit annoying. Also the paint on the mallets marks the notes and so it loses its looks quickly. But it does the job for a decent price and is much loved so not a bad purchase. Will need to invest in a far better quality item in a year or so once the tuning is more important.

Flaking paint never a good sign.

This was the second toy xylophone I bought and it's paint immediately started flaking off the mallets. The notes were not all in tune either. The Hohner xylophone is sooo much better AND in tune.
